Anna Prasadam — Feeding the Hungry
Many street vendors and people who cannot afford a meal are fed in the form of Anna Prasadam every Thursday from the mutt.
As part of a Zero Hunger mission, the Mahapeetham feeds the hungry and homeless — the elderly, women, children and the differently-abled living on the streets. Every Thursday, approximately 100 to 150 people receive a lunch with fruits. Many of them live in public places along highways, railway stations and bus stops. Our aim is to reach the destitute, abandoned senior citizens and migrant workers. This service has continued since 2022.

Financial & Commodities Support
Several homeless and elderly people are supported by the Mahapeetham with food, clothes, medicines and finance on the 5th of every month, including ongoing monthly monetary support for a heart patient in Shimoga toward treatment.
At Maruthuvamalai, near Kanyakumari, homeless and aged people who cannot afford even the basic essentials are provided with monetary support and daily necessities — rice, pulses, salt, sugar, soap, oil, clothes and more — on the 15th of every month, since 2021.
Medical Support & Assistance
During the pandemic, the Mahapeetham provided free medicines worth ₹2–3 lakh every month. Several individuals have received free medicines every month from 2021 to date, and since January 2023 many more people receive free medicines worth ₹50,000 to ₹1,50,000 each month, on an as-needed basis.
Education & Technology Support
In December 2022, the Mahapeetham provided computer systems to gurukuls in South India, so that students there can combine technical education with the study of ancient science. The Mahapeetham also provides free basic computer education and technical training — including Microsoft Office and programming languages such as Java — to these students every month.
Education Support for Students
In 2021, 2022 and 2023, the Mahapeetham supported a rural development foundation that runs schools for underprivileged children through scholarships. Each unit of donation covers the cost of a child’s uniforms, sports and craft activities. Rooted in the belief that education is the vehicle to lift families out of poverty, the programme equips children with literacy and skills to gain employment and bring financial relief to their families.
Job Support & Training Solutions
The Mahapeetham helps young graduates find employment across a wide range of fields — including IT, accounting, auditing, tax and financial services, business management, communication, transportation, commercial and international banking, insurance, telecommunications, manufacturing and distribution, warehousing and government.
Honouring Ceremony
In 2021 and 2022, the Mahapeetham felicitated and honoured many scholars, writers and social workers for their esteemed contributions to society.
Goshala — Adoption & Animal Shelter
The Mahapeetham shelters around 22 cows and is also home to goats and sheep, with the intention of adopting more cows and buffaloes — a sacred activity. The cattle are cared for with real passion: adequate nutrition, clean drinking water, free movement in open pastures, regular bathing, and periodic cleaning of the sheds.
Regular health checks and treatment of unwell animals by veterinary professionals, along with preventive measures against infectious diseases, are provided in the cow sheds. Above all, the cows are cared for by a team of devoted caretakers who share a genuine emotional connection with them.
